A Bit About My Artistic Journey

When I first began creating, I had convinced myself that you are only a talented and skilled artist if you are exceptional at realism. I now know that this couldn’t be further from the truth. Prior to attending RMCAD (The Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design) , I limited myself to creating photo realistic portraits. Although a strong understanding of life drawing and realism helped me build a foundation for my illustrations and concept art, my interests have migrated away from realism. In my early years of creating, I relied strictly on the use traditional mediums. I have since expanded my knowledge of both traditional and digital techniques, and I appreciate and enjoy both equally. A great deal of my art focuses on the female form, and this is one thing that has remained consistent throughout my artistic journey. Much of my work explores the delicate yet strong nature of the divine feminine.
